This week saw the release of Usher‘s new single, “She Came to Give It to You”, featuring Nicki Minaj, lifted from his upcoming album. Now, the singer is giving fans a glimpse into the recording process for the up-tempo cut, which was produced by Pharrell.
Usher shared an Instagram video, in which he appears in the studio next to Pharrell. “We been doing this sh**, this ain’t nothing new,” Usher says in the clip after belting out the hook.
“@Pharrell We just pickin’ up where we left off #NextChapter #Absolutely #HereWeGo #TakeOff #SheCameToGiveItToYou #UR #MagicInTheMaking,” he writes in the caption.
The feel-good tune seemingly picks up where the duo left off following their collaboration on Usher’s “U Don’t Have to Call,” from his 2001 album, 8701.
