They took part in the latest installment in the “In Performance At The White House” series, which celebrated the 50th anniversary of the National Foundation on the Arts and The Humanities Act.

Other participants included Buddy Guy, James Taylor, and Trombone Shorty.

In his remarks, Obama quoted Guy: “In America, we turn life into lyrics.  ‘Listen to the lyrics,’ Buddy Guy once said.  ‘We’re singing about everyday life:  rich people trying to keep money, poor people trying to get it, and everyone having trouble with their husband or wife!’

“Except me!”  Obama added.

The concert will air on PBS on January 8, 2016, but it’s streaming now on the White House website and YouTube channel.
