Lord they did it again! Now, we all make mistakes, but network TV keeps making the same mistakes by mixing-up Black people. CBS News mixed up the pictures of Elijah Cummings and John Lewis on air. The TV network did a story on Lewis’s recent pancreatic cancer diagnosis. Cummings recently died after health issues that weren’t disclosed. CBS News says they deeply regret the mix-up. Many people have gotten the two political leader’s confused but we see far too many times that photos of prominent Black people mixed-up. If you had more diversity in the newsroom across the country and in media in general this type of ignorant mistake wouldn’t happen. Who is fact-checking in newsrooms, obviously not a person of color?
