National Juneteenth Museum To Break Ground In Fort Worth In Spring 2022

by

Fort Worth, Texas, will be home to a new National Juneteenth Museum which is projected to open in early 2024. The firm overseeing the project, The Sable Group, said the museum “will educate guests on the legacy and experiences of the enslaved and provide factual narratives about people that overcame the trials and hardships of oppression. Exploration of the richness of the American tapestry and global canvas is the ultimate goal of the museum’s directors”. The museum will be built in Fort Worth’s Historic Southside neighborhood and is expected to start construction in spring 2022.
