The 73-year-old Astros manager had never won a ring in 25 seasons in the dugout with the Astros, Giants, Nationals, Red, and Cubs. Baker was hired by Houston in 2020, after A.J. Hinch was fired in connection with the infamous 2017 sign-stealing scandal. The only other ring of Baker’s career came all the way back in 1981 as an outfielder for the Dodgers. Dusty Baker is destined for the Baseball Hall of Fame.
