Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse swung its way to the top of the box office over the weekend. The much-anticipated sequel raked in $120.5 million in its opening weekend – the second-biggest opening of 2023 behind The Super Mario Bros. Movie. Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid finished 2nd with $40.6 million. The Boogeyman ($12.3 million), Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ($10.2 million), and Fast X ($9.2 million) rounded out the top five.
