The actor’s misdemeanor charges arising from the altercation in and around his Chelsea residence on March 25 were set to go on trial today after many postponements. The Kang the Conquer actor may spend up to a year in jail if proven guilty on the charges brought by Manhattan D.A. Alvin Bragg’s office, despite the fact that he was the one who called 911 back in the spring. The prosecution is prepared for trial, Assistant District Attorney Kelli Galaway said to Judge Rachel S. Pauley. Defense counsel, however, argued in court that there were “deficiencies” in the discovery process that still need attention.
