WGA Reaches Tentative Deal To End Writers’ Strike

by

It looks like the Hollywood writers’ strike could soon be coming to an end. The Hollywood Reporter says the Writers Guild of America has reached a tentative deal with producers on a new three-year contract that would end the 146-day strike. The WGA notified members Sunday night – claiming the deal included “meaningful gains and protections for writers in every sector”. The deal will need to be ratified by the WGA’s 11,500 members.  No timeline has been given for when that vote will take place. The deal doesn’t mean that Hollywood is fully back to normal – the SAG/AFTRA strike is still ongoing in its 73rd day. I hope this mean an end to the actor’s strike is getting close as well.
