T.I. Receives Prestigious Phoenix Award For Humanitarian Efforts

(Photo by Jack Plunkett/Invision/AP) Recently, T.I. was presented with the Phoenix Award in recognition of his achievements in the entertainment industry as well as his humanitarian work within the community. The rapper and actor whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr. performed the second of two concerts at the Atlanta Symphony Hall to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his breakthrough album Trap Muzik. The award, which is considered to be the “highest honor” in Atlanta, was given to him following his performance. Tip said about the honor, “Humbly honored for us to have received this highest honor by Mayor Andre Dickens and the City of Atlanta. Dis is for Trap Muzik, 20 years later. Happy to have shared this illustrious moment wit my wife and the rest of my family, along wit da people in da City.” Congratulations T.I.!
