Former state Rep. Eric Johnson defeated councilman Scott Griggs in a runoff election on Saturday to be the next Mayor of the City of Dallas. Mayor-elect Johnson is more than qualified to get the job done. His education includes University of Pennsylvania, Princeton and Harvard. It’s a new day in Dallas and we are expecting big things from the new mayor. I am hopeful that Eric Johnson understands the problems we are facing in Dallas starting with the recent spike in crime.
