Michael Jackson’s son, Prince, was a keynote speaker for a Los Angeles summit for the Family Office Association. He said he reflected about the words that constantly came up at home and the one word was compassion. He said that his father growing up in Gary, Indiana, understood what it was like to struggle and what it was like to be prosperous. His father told him it was important to keep educating himself about other cultures and ways of life. Michael also told him that being successful or wealthy doesn’t give you the right to treat people poorly. He told him, you treat the janitor the same way you treat the CEO. Michael Jackson was so iconic yet so humble. With all his wealth and fame Michael Jackson was really a down-to-earth father.
