Fox suspends production of Empire. Yes Fox has temporarily suspended the production of Empire. Show star, actor Jussie Smollett was viciously attacked on Tuesday in Chicago in an apparent hate crime. He was in the city to film Empire‘s fifth season. I hate this happened to him, or anyone who chooses to expresses him or herself differently. He is a amazing actor and singer and a good person.
