Taraji P Henson had a very good reason for not attending the Met Gala.
Taraji, skipped the Met Gala in honor of her friend and mentor, John Singleton, who started her career giving her starring role in Baby Boy.
Taraji was supposed to be paired with Vera Wang for the fashion event, and I’m sure they would have come up with something memorable. John Singleton meant so much to her as he did us all.
Wang supported Henson’s decision to attend Singleton’s funeral, the small intimate ceremony was held for Singleton’s close family and friends on Monday, a larger public memorial will happen at a later date.
