Lifetime has responded to Drea Kelly’s plans to sue the network due to her appearance in the new documentary, Surviving R. Kelly Part II: The Day of Reckoning.
Executive producer of Surviving R. Kelly, Brie Miranda Bryant told Page Six, “I hope she feels differently after she sees it, the pieces that were in the trailer are from her interview in part one. She did not sit for part two.” They are actually using parts of her interview from the first “Surviving R Kelly segments to air in Part II. Could be one of the reasons she is upset.
Drea, said to TMZ, that there was a problem during the production of the original documentary that left survivors and victims without proper aftercare. Lifetime is saying there were therapist available throughout production, but Drea denied using them. Should she sue for this? Maybe…The Series is scheduled to air on January 2nd, at 8 PM.
