Poet Amanda Gorman has captured the attention of the world since she did her poem “The Hill We Climb” at the Presidential Inauguration, now the 22-year-old poet laureate has caught the attention of the NFL.
Gorman has been tapped to perform an original poem about the three honorary captains selected for the game’s coin toss at at the Super Bowl.
The honorary captains include Los Angeles teacher Trimaine Davis, Tampa nurse manager Suzie Dorner and Pittsburgh Marine veteran James Martin. All three are being honored for giving back to their communities amid the coronavirus pandemic.
Gorman will be a part of Super Bowl pre-game show February 7th on CBS.
