“Empire” is the biggest show on TV and director Lee Daniels has been pulling in major guest stars this season including Mary J. Blige, Jennifer Hudson, and Patti Labelle. Daniels is now looking ahead to season 2 and has his eyes set on his biggest catch yet…Oprah Winfrey!
Winfrey hasn’t agreed to do it yet, but says she and Daniels are talking about it.
I tell him: ‘Lee, it’s not enough that you’ve taken every viewer possible on Wednesday night, now you want me to leave my own network?'” she said.
Daniels says he’s been very persistent in getting Winfrey to agree, “”I’m wearing her down!” he said in response.
Winfrey and Daniels are no strangers to working together, she was one of the producers of “Precious” and the two also worked together on “The Butler.”
