Beyoncé is helping kids go back to school in style. The singer has collaborated with bag brand STATE on a line of school and office supplies, including a limited edition, #BeyGOOD backpack, and they’re giving away backpacks and school supplies to students in need in six cities.

Two thousand students across the six cities — Charlotte; Baltimore; Washington, D.C.; Philadelphia; Newark; and New York — will get backpacks.  In addition, the initiative will host “pep rallies for good” to support local charities in each city where students will be able to stuff their backpacks with school essentials.

Beyonce and STATE are also offering a premium backpack for sale on the singer’s website for $125. All proceeds from the sale of those #BeyGOOD backpacks will benefit the backpack give-away program.

And fans willing to pony up $75 for their returning students can purchase a back-to-school bundle, now available for pre-order on Beyoncé’s website, which includes custom pencils with Beyonce’s catchphrases, a locker-sized poster and T-shirt as well as notebooks and tote bags.

“Our #BeyGOODxSTATE GIVEBACKPACK Program and inspirational bag drop events go beyond a simple material donation by providing children in underfunded communities the role models and motivation to beat the odds, ” says Scot Tatelman, STATE Bags co-founder. “Partnering with Beyonce’s  #BeyGOOD movement not only creates a platform for children to receive backpacks and school supplies for the upcoming year, but also drives them to reach their full potential.”
