KRNB – Stars from the blockbuster movie Black Panther, along with singer Kesha surprised a number of high school students with college scholarships at the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment gala.
Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’o and Danai Gurira were on hand for the announcement.
The largest scholarship, the $250,000 Black Panther Scholarship — created by Walt Disney Studios — went to one girl from the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Mentorship Program. The winner, 17-year old Kalis Coleman plans to become a pediatric dermatologist and is currently attending high school in Inglewood.
