If you’ve been following Elle Varner on Instagram then you’d know that she’s cooking up something special for the follow-up to her debut album, Perfectly Imperfect.  Elle’s good friend Bridget Kelly says that the singer’s upcoming sophomore album, Four Letter Word, sounds amazing.

“Oh, her album is incredible, oh my God! It’s incredible. I was so happy that she released ‘F It All,’ I love that record so much. I think that she has come out of her shell so much as a woman,” Bridget tells ABC News Radio. “To see her going through the same type of things I’m going through, and being able to go in and be unbridled in the studio is incredible. So, I think the world is going to be so excited and so in love with this new project.

Bridget says that we will hear Elle like we never heard her before. “It’s a little racier. She’s a little more raunchy in this project, so I’m excited for the world to see it,” she says.

Kelly has also considered working with Elle, although if any duet of theirs would wind up being released.

“We’ve discussed it. I think it’s hard because there so many politics in the game. So, I think if we do a record, it’s going to be off the record, so to speak. Labels don’t want artists to be friends necessarily.  They don’t want artists to do songs together, you know what I mean?” she says. “I don’t want to say it’s not something that they [don’t] support, but in terms of female artists, it’s kind of like, unless its like this smash pop record, they shy away from it. So I think Elle Varner and I are going to work on some stuff independently.”

Fans can expect Four Letter Word, which is being executive produced by Pop & Oak, to arrive later this year.
