Following talk of a feud with August Alsina, who recently revealed the two weren’t on speaking terms, Trey Songz says there’s no beef.
“We had a discrepancy and he didn’t know how to deal with that,” said Trey during an interview with U.K.’s Capital Xtra. “He hasn’t been in the situation where he has to answer the same question a million times. That’s frustration.”
About August refusing to answer questions about Trey on BET’s 106 & Park, the crooner says that it was likely due to mounting “pressure.”
Trey explains, “He probably said some things he really didn’t mean, out of pressure. I really care about him. He got a lot going on in his life outside of music and I know that about him. So, I didn’t feel the need to speak out against him.”
Meanwhile, fans can expect Trey’s new album, Trigga, to arrive July 1.
