It turns out there was no shade. Samuel L. Jackson said in an interview that British actors are less known over here and therefore are paid less. He sites British actor Daniel Kaluuya. Daniel is in Jordan Peele’s “Get Out.” He later said, “It was not a slam against them, but it was just a comment about how Hollywood works in an interesting sort of way sometimes.”
