Can’t keep me down: French Montana announces new album after being released from hospital

by

Walt Disney Television/Paula LoboAfter spending a week in a California hospital suffering from an elevated heart rate, French Montana announced Wednesday he’s dropping new music.

“Been workin hard on my new album and I’m so proud to announce it’s coming THIS FRIDAY,” the three-time Grammy nominee commented on Instagram, next to a photo taken last week of him exercising in his hospital room. “The music is keepin my spirit alive. THANK YOU to my fans, love y’all for ridin with me thru this journey.”

The new project, simply titled Montana, will be French’s third studio album. His debut release, Excuse My French, was released in 2013, followed by Jungle Rules in 2017.

As previously reported, Montana was rushed to a hospital on November 21 in Los Angeles. L.A. County Sheriff’s deputies, who were at Montana’s Calabasas home investigating a possible robbery, made the call for an ambulance. Police didn’t find evidence of a crime, but did notice that the “Unforgettable” rapper was in distress, and called for paramedics.

Montana was released from a hospital in the San Fernando Valley on Thanksgiving, and he was grateful to all his fans who prayed for his recovery.

“Thank you Everyone for all of the prayers, love and support,” he commented when he left the hospital. “I’m finally out of ICU and am getting better one day at a time !!!”

This year, Montana dropped the singles “Writing on the Wall” with Post Malone and Cardi B, “Suicide Doors” featuring Gunna, “Wiggle It” featuring City Girls, “Slide” with Blueface and Lil Tjay, and “Twisted,” featuring Juicy J., Logic, and A$AP Rocky
