DALLAS COUNTY HITS 2.5K DAILY COVID-19 CASES

by

UT Southwestern latest forecast reports Dallas County on track to hitting 2,500 new covid-19 cases, daily by next week. Dallas County health officials are concerned of this recent increase in COVID cases, translating into to even more hospitalization down the line. Dallas County Health Director Dr. Philip Huang states; “Bottom line: we know if at the top of the funnel the numbers are increasing significantly, that the number of people getting infected, transmission increases, it’s going to increase all these numbers down through.” This outlook appears to be getting worse, as the number of bed in Dallas County are declining down to less than 50 beds left. As the numbers get worse, Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins sent a letter to Gov. Greg Abbott urging for businesses to slow down their reopening plans.
