Kevin Mazur/Getty ImagesLast Thursday, Jhene Aiko filed for divorced from her husband, music producer and DJ Oladipo “Dot da Genius” Omishore, after eleven months of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” Yesterday, Aiko gave her side of the story as to why she’s divorcing Omishore in a now deleted tweet. “Never let a man disrespect u in any way. major key. He jumped ship a long time ago, he wants to be the victim and I’ll let his b**** a** assume the role,” she apparently wrote in a tweet that was captured by Love B Scott.
Even amid all of the current drama, Aiko dropped a rough demo of a new ballad today, titled “New Balance,” on SoundCloud. “Most of us are angry, most of us are strangely more alike than we like to believe” she sings.
