Tiger test positive for Coronavirus at Bronx Zoo

by

Though the Bronx Zoo has been closed since March 16th, Nadia the Malayan Tiger has shown systems of the Coronavirus. The Chief veterinarian for the Bronx Zoo Paul Calle says “ It’s the first time, to our knowledge, that a (wild) animal has gotten sick from COVID-19 from a person.” Believing that the only way Nadia received the virus is from an unknown zookeeper. With new studies showing that animals can give the virus to one another, the scientist is rushing to learn what other species could also be infected.
