After a ceremony with his family and Oakland local MC Hammer, “Tupac Shakur Way” was re-named from MacArthur Boulevard near his 1990s home. “Let his spirit live on the rest of these years in these streets and in your hearts,” Shakur’s sister stated. “Set” Shakur addressed the gathering, wiping away tears during a nearly two-hour ceremony. The Tupac Shakur Way sign appeared shortly after. Also attending the ceremony were E-40, Too Short, and Money-B.
