According to the USA Swimming Foundation roughly 64% of black children have little to no swimming ability. One reason given for the issue for black swimmers is hair. Swim caps don’t usually protect or accommodate Afro texture hair. Now we know that has been a issue for people of color for quite some time. A British woman created a swim cap called “Nemes.” It is a waterproof headscarf designed for black women’s hair. Do you think this is a cap you may want to try?
