Prince Harry’s Children Archie and Lilibet, and Prince William, Receive New Royal Titles

by

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

With the passing of Queen Elizabeth II the hierarchy has changed.
Her son, Prince Charles is now King Charles.
His oldest son, William and wife Kate have new titles as the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and Cambridge.
The Duke of Cornwall is a position held by the person who is the heir to the throne. Charles held the title since 1952. So William is definitely next line.
Many wondered what, if any, titles Harry’s children would have. There was discussion about having less royal titles.
It has been revealed that 3 year old Archie and 1 year old Lilibet Mountbatten-Windsor will now be allowed to use ‘prince’ and ‘princess’
As the great-grandchildren of a sovereign, Archie and Lili were not entitled to the titles.
With the new title comes security. Meghan said in her interview with Oprah that without a royal title, the family does not provide security.
