Jamie Foxx is coming through in a major way for his home state! The actor, singer, and comedian who is also a Terrell, Texas native has announced that he is hosting a telethon that will benefit those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
“Just wanted to let everyone in Texas know, we got you. From a fellow Texan, my heart goes out, my prayers go out,” the Beat Shazam host said in a video on his Instagram page. “September 12, we have a telethon that we’re doing. We’ll give you more details, so we can raise as much money as we can for everybody down there.”
The telethon is in the early stages of development, but it is expected to be star-studded and will air on several major networks.
