The Center for Disease Control (CDC) is sounding the alarm about an eventual coronavirus outbreak inside the U.S., declaring it “not a question of if, but rather a question of when”. Heath officials say the recent outbreaks in Italy, Iran, and South Korea have made it more likely the virus will spread into the U.S. at some point. The agency is urging hospitals and schools to begin preparations now, while states and cities should look into cancelling large gatherings. The disease known as COVID-19 has a fatality rate of less than 2% which is much less than most outbreaks that make international news. It is never too early to be prepared let’s hope our health system is prepared and coronavirus.
