He faced off against Future, Lil Baby, Drake, and Lil Durk in the Favorite Male category. He succeeded with Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers for Favorite Hip-Hop Album, winning over albums from Future, Gunna, Lil Durk, and Polo G.
Nicki Minaj took home Favorite Female Hip-Hop Artist, and Future won Favorite Hip-Hop Song for his collaboration with Drake & Tems for “Wait For U.”
Favorite Male R&B artist went to Chris Brown. Favorite Female R&B Artist went to Beyoncé, who also won Favorite R&B Album for Renaissance and Favorite R&B Song for “Break My Soul.”
